Michael E. Stock, President and Chief Executive Officer

In 2008, Mr. Stock was promoted to President/CEO. He joined QualChoice in August 2002 and served as CFO and COO from 2002-2007. He has over 30 years experience in managed healthcare and accounting industries. Mr. Stock spent 14 years with Big Eight accounting firms and was the CFO and COO of NylCare Health Plans of the Gulf Coast, a 450,000-member health plan located in Houston, TX. He has also held similar positions with wholly-owned insurance subsidiaries of Methodist Health Care System.

M. Haley Wilson, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer/Chief Information Officer

In 2008, Mr. Wilson was named the new COO while also keeping his current position as CIO, which he has held since 2005. He brings over 16 years of direct information systems experience in the managed healthcare industry including six years with Prudential Insurance Company and three years with Methodist Health Care system in Houston, TX. He also serves as Chairman of the UALR Computer Science Advisory Board.

Randall A. Crow, Chief Financial Officer

Having served as Controller since April 2000, Mr. Crow was promoted to CFO of QualChoice in 2008. He has 20 years experience in the managed healthcare industry and two in the hospital industry. Mr. Crow was CFO for Rebsamen Hospital for two years, at NovaSYS TPA for one and at Health Advantage HMO for ten years. During his tenure, Health Advantage grew from 3,000 to over 100,000 members.

Jim Couch, Vice President of Compliance

Has over 14 years of direct legal experience in the health benefit market. Mr. Couch received his Juris Doctor Degree from Emory University School of Law. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas Little Rock (UALR) and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language and International Trade from Auburn University.

Joni S. Daniels, Vice President of Operations

Has been with QualChoice since its inception and has over 30 years experience with Third Party Administrators and insurance carriers. Ms. Daniels’ experience is in group benefits and administration for both risk and self-funded programs and includes medical, dental, disability, workers compensation, and managed care programs in Kansas, Texas, and Arkansas.

Jon Foose, Vice President of Underwriting

Prior to joining QualChoice in 2008, Mr. Foose was Vice President of Pricing and Underwriting at Kaiser Foundation Health Plans of California with over 6.5 million covered lives. He was also with Kaiser Foundation Health Plans of Ohio. Past experience includes Vice President of Underwriting for NYLCare Health Plans in Houston, TX.

BJ Himes, Vice President of Sales & Marketing

With 15+ years experience in sales and marketing, BJ joined QualChoice in 2005 as National Sales Manager. Previous positions in the healthcare industry included three years as a National Sales Director for HealthSCOPE Benefits, a Third Party Administrator and 7+ years with CIGNA Healthcare as New Business Manager. She was promoted in 2007 to her present position as Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Roger K. Howe, MD, MMM, Vice President for Medical Affairs

Career spans 23 years in rural family medicine, 13 years of administrative experience. Dr. Howe has worked for health plans in Louisiana and Arizona, and as the chief physician administrator for a 150-physician, multi-specialty group in Modesto, CA.

Senior Management

Cindy Reese Furgerson, RN, BSN, Assistant Vice President of Quality and Care Management

Has 14 years of clinical experience in emergency room, home health, nursing development and case management. The last 15 years have been in managed care. Ms. Furgerson's positions have focused on leadership, change and innovation. Her background includes working for Baptist Health System, Cigna and HealthSCOPE Benefits. She is currently leading QualChoice in an integrated medical management design with an emphasis on Population Health for our employer groups.

Kenneth W. Bowen Jr., Director of Underwriting

Has over 16 years of experience in the managed healthcare industry, including 12 with QualChoice. Mr. Bowen has held several front-line positions including quality assurance and training within the operational area, as well as medical economics analyst, provider capitation and settlement specialist.

Rose Anne Cato, Director, Network Services

Has over 20 years experience in employee benefits administration and managed care. Ms. Cato began her career on the employer side, transitioned to marketing and ultimately network development. She has worked for several major managed care organizations including CIGNA HealthCare and Health Net, Inc.

Karin J. Ward, Director of Human Resources

Has over 25 years experience in Human Resources. Ms. Ward spent 20 years at Levi Strauss and four at Coors managing human resource functions in facilities in Arkansas and North Carolina.
